Kick Start Watermelon Juice

Watermelon Juice is like liquid candy to me I love it !

As with all food that I love I try to make it the healthiest tastiest meal I can so when using watermelon it’s a pretty easy and tasty task.

 This juice is a new favourite breakfast kickstarter for me, totally easy and all the ingredients are so beneficial to have in the cupboards.

The bee pollen gives you energy, protein and vitamin b, the cinnamon is full of antioxidants and the coconut cream is full of  beneficial amino acids that the body cannot produce on its own.

I find That the coconut cream adds substance to this drink and it also fills me up, not an easy feat !

 Watermelon seeds have numerous health benefits and when blended they really have no taste at all so there is no need to remove them, I find seedless watermelons scare me so I stay away from them.

Watermelon is one of those fruits that make a great afternoon snack in a pinch, I serve it with a squeeze of lemon and cold.

*With uncut, whole watermelon, one storage precaution would be the avoidance of contact with high ethylene-producing foods like passion fruit, apples, peaches, pears, and papaya. Watermelons are ethylene-sensitive fruits that may become overly ripe too quickly under these circumstances.

Once cut, watermelons should be refrigerated in order to best preserve their freshness, taste, and juiciness. Store your cut watermelon in a sealed, hard plastic or glass container with a lid.

If it does start to go mushy this recipe is a great way to use it up !

Recipe Ingredients

  • half a squeezed lemon
  • 1/2 a small watermelon
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp coconut cream
  • 1 tsp bee pollen

Recipe Instructions

  1. put in blender and blast until smooth
