Warm Turmeric Hummus With Caramelized Onions And Mushrooms

I added turmeric  in my hummus as I am always trying to get my 1 tbs per day , turmeric added to this warm hummus gives you a very subtle earthy taste.

We had this last night for dinner with some toasted pita and it was perfect for a light and easy meal…. if you are doing a dip night  try serving it with some baba ganoush .

Warm Turmeric Humus Ingredients

2 jars chickpeas (15 ounce) keeping 1/2 of the liquid

Pinch Salt (to taste)

2 tbs tahini

Place the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, turmeric, salt, and paprika into a food processor or blender and blend on high, adding the olive oil and reserved liquid as you go.

Place your hummus in a oven safe dish and cover with lid of tin foil and pop it in the oven for  15 – 20 min.

After 15-20 turn oven off and leave hummus in there while making the caramelized onions and mushrooms.
