1. Create a limit
10-20 minutes for a nap is best for most people. Limit yourself by setting an alarm to prevent over sleeping during the day, causing sleep inertia. If you are prone to insomnia, it is important to limit day time sleeping to ensure you actually sleep at night. Try to not sleep for more than 30 minutes in an afternoon to ensure you don’t disrupt your natural sleep cycles. You should also not take a nap after 4 pm to prevent insomnia that night. Napping after 4 pm can interrupt your night-time sleep cycle and eventually lead to sleep deprivation.
2. Schedule your nap
