Lemon And Caper Pan fried White Fish
What a beautiful and easy recipe …. I used cod but any fresh white fish will work.
I served this with Sweet Potato Cauliflower pumpkin And Garlic Mash
and it was amazing together.
I also used a tsp of hot sauce in the last min of cooking …. completely optional but if you like spice its amazing !
6 ounces white fish
1 ounce butter
1 teaspoon oil
half a lemon
2 tbs capers
pinch of salt
Melt the butter in a non stick frying pan with the oil (the oil prevents butter from burning)
Add fish and fry until tender about 7-12 min depending on thickness
Flip half way through cooking
As fish is cooking add the capers, salt, while spooning the melted butter over fish.
Place the fish on a plate and pour any remaining butter overtop, finish by squeezing the lemon over the fish and serve.
